Don't judge my by my age, as I am an Active, Alert and Spunky Doggie who loves to go for Walks, Car Rides and Snuggle. Anything to be with my family! I am a SMALL doggie too as I weigh 14 Pounds. My Spunky and Fun Personality! I am a very CONFIDENT little doggie who LOVES PEOPLE. I approach everyone I meet with a Tail Wag and Smile - hoping they will pet me! I am also very much a TERRIER. Meaning I am alert and checking things out. Yes, I am curious, and active. I really am an INTERESTING little doggie who promises to make you SMILE and LAUGH! I am a SNUGGLY DOGGIE! After a walk or some exercise it is time to SNUGGLE. I love to CUDDLE beside people on the COUCH. I just enjoy the human touch. I will also SLEEP in BED, but I do not stay in bed all night long. Remember, I am a terrier. I am alert and will check any noise out that I hear. I LOVE PEOPLE! I will do just about anything to be with my family. That means going for a WALK, Car Ride or just Hanging Out at HOME. As soon as my family comes home I GREET them at the DOOR and FOLLOW them from ROOM to ROOM. Like I said, I love to be with people! I ENJOY going for a DAILY WALK! Right now my family takes me for at least one walk a day. I LOVE IT. It gives me a chance to burn off some energy, and of course meet new people. I will pull on the leash at first, but once we have been out for a bit I settle into some very nice leash walking! I still like to PLAY! My Dad says I will play TUG of WAR with my favorite soft ROPE TOY. He will even throw it for me and I bring it back - most of the time. Yes, I will FETCH sometimes! But, as I said, I am a Terrier. That means sometimes I take the rope in hopes that my Dad will follow me. I enjoy a little game of KEEP AWAY at times. Don't worry - it is all in FUN!! Training Update! I am a HOUSETRAINED doggie who is good about going in my CRATE. I will SIT for a treat. I will COME sometimes - but again, I am a terrier. I am good on the leash (after some exercise). I am also a very well mannered doggie. I am very GENTLE when I take treats from your hand. I am also very Well Mannered in the home. Are YOU the RIGHT Family for ME? I am looking for a FUN LOVING Family who will appreciate my SPUNKY Spirit, Active Lifestyle, Confident Personality and Affectionate Nature. I LOVE PEOPLE, but the rescue prefers I go into a home with ADULTS and/or CHILDREN over the age of 7 Years. This is just because I am older and have never lived with children before. I am good with SOME DOGGIES - I prefer doggies larger than me. I have never lived with a cat before. I did meet a kitten at the rescue, where I showed interest but I was very well behaved with him. I am a HEALTHY Doggie! I am a very healthy 14 pound doggie. You will be amazed as I have a very MUSCULAR body - so tone for a doggie my age! I do need a teeth cleaning, but that is about it. I am ALREADY SPAYED, HEARTWORM Negative, and current on all my VACCINES. My adoption fee even includes my microchip. So I am all set to go into my new home!! My Sad Story! My owner contacted the rescue for help in finding me a home. You see his wife passed away and he works very long hours. This isn't easy for him, but he feels bad for me as I am left alone for a very long time everyday. He really wants me to have a loving family who can spend a lot more time with me.
